‘that girl’ has been pleased to be involved in the organisation of many team building activities for Groundforce over recent years and this isn’t the first time the guys have enjoyed a competitive afternoon with JM Kartsport at PF International kart circuit.
After enjoying a light lunch, the guys were briefed and changed ready to enjoy their 60 lap race with teams of two each sharing a twin engined Honda pro-kart.
After starting in the wet, the track quickly dried off allowing the lap times to improve significantly (and the spins to reduce likewise!) A hard fought battle ensued with the top three teams then choosing their fastest driver to take part in a three lap drive off.
Unfortunately Colin Philips, who was on pole position, didn’t see the lights change from red to green and was quickly overtaken by his two colleagues resulting in a great win by Anil Govind of the Marketing department.
The afternoon was rounded off in the Tortion Bar at the track where trophies were presented to the winners and Anil received his champagne.
